PALPA members donate one day salary to PM’s Fund

KARACHI, May 12 .Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA) has annnounced to donate one day salary of their 465 member pilots to the Prime Minister’s Fund for Swat affectees. Announcing this Vice‑President PALPA Sohail Baluch said that this donation is for showing solidarity with the affected brothers of swat and other areas who need help in the prevailing circumstances.

8 Killed in Suicide Attack on Police Check Post :Peshawar

 A suicide bomber in a car filled 

with explosives rammed into a Pakistani security vehicle at a government checkpoint just outside Peshawar, killing eight security forces and wounding 30 people Tuesday.The bomb went off in morning rush hour. At least two children on their way to school received head wounds as a result of the blast, authorities said.  The bomb ripped through the façade of nearby buildings, exposing a ceiling fan and police uniforms still hanging on clothes hangers. The bomber's car was destroyed. Blood spattered the white twisted metal of another car caught in the explosion.

Swiss have invented a car that runs on land and underwater. 

It’s called the “sQuba,” and conjures up memories of James Bond’s amphibious Lotus Esprit from “The Spy Who Loved Me.” That fictional vehicle traveled on land and, when chased by bad guys in a helicopter, plunged into the water and became an airtight submarine — complete with “torpedoes” and “depth charges.”

Flying Car

At present time flying a car is very possible following the following steps and procedures. The one who is driving the car should unpack the parafoil wing from the boot and manually deploy it from the rear of the car. The driver then switches the transmission from road mode, which drives the wheels, to flight mode, which powers the rear fan.

The fan’s thrust pushes the car forward, providing lift for the wing as the car reaches 35mph – takeoff speed. Once airborne, pedals in the footwell steer the Skycar by pulling cables that change the wing’s shape.

The Skycar has the ability to fly up to about 180 miles. If just in case the wing gets damaged or if it collapses, the pilot can fire a roof-mounted emergency parachute that allows the car to float safely back to earth.
